The new Quest Engineering Q-Motion System
Sub The heart of the system is the QM-1000A Sub bass, comprising one custom-built, Quest 15-inch, multi-coil bass driver. The QM-1000A sub bass enclosure also contains 1 x 650 watt RMS mono bass amplifier, 2 x powerful 200 Watt RMS @ 8 ohms independently accessible satellite amplifiers, a system controller and a multiplicity of system configuration options. It is tuned for extended bass response and is quite amazing for such a small package The QM-1000A sounds like a real sub-bass and has the SPL output to match. Most small powered bass systems go “thud” rather than “doof”, with a mass of muddy frequencies most sound guys EQ out. In a shootout the QM-1000A powered bass will give a serious challenge to any 15-inch powered sub on the market, regardless of price in both output and uniform low frequency intelligibility.

The fun doesn’t stop there; the mid/HF
response is where most of these micro systems fall over. There are quite a
few on the market that sound great when demonstrated with a CD in a shop,
but most of them really struggle to get live vocals across a room with
some background noise.
The new Quest Engineering Q-Motion QM-108 Mid-High Box The QM-108 is a timber ultra compact mid powered 2-way upper-bass/mid-high trapezoid passive speaker optimized for vocal projection. Live voice presence in a music mix is where most micro systems fail to perform well. The QM-108 has been engineered particularly to give good vocal performance. It is the ideal partner for the QM-1000A flexi-system, 8 ohm 175 watt+ RMS
The whole system is protected by multi-stage limiters with status indication, yet is so simple to set up and operate. Connect two Speakon leads for the high/mid boxes and you’re running. Best of all, it is priced so well anyone can afford it.
